The three-dimensional geonet mat, a polymer composite material with a three-dimensional mesh structure, is classified as an enhanced reinforcement material in the new materials technology category under China's National High-Tech Product Catalog. Featuring a porous structure with 90% porosity that effectively traps soil particles, this material demonstrates 97.5% slope stabilization effectiveness on 45° slopes and 84% on 60° slopes. Research indicates it can increase slope failure reduction coefficients by 23%-35%, with critical protection slopes ranging from 37° to 42°.

1. The soil stabilization effect is remarkably effective. Experimental results demonstrate that when the slope angle reaches 45 degrees before turfgrass establishment, the three-dimensional vegetation net mat achieves a soil retention rate of 97.5%. Even at a 60-degree slope angle, this rate remains substantial at 60%. This indicates that on vertical slopes where soil retention should be impossible, the net mat successfully retains 60% of retained soil. Consequently, the three-dimensional vegetation net mat outperforms flat net systems in soil stabilization capabilities by a significant margin.
